K G projects redefines a fashion collection with a seamless digital experience to achieve an immersive and interactive storytelling experience. The goal is to help designers extend their self-expression orbit and touch their consumers on an intimate level.
As fashion designers, we are always looking for a richer medium to express ourselves or to explore contents. The richness of sound and movement are confined by dispassionate forms of commerce.
To resolve the communication that design deserves, KG Projects uses augmented reality as a catalyst to extend the presence of clothing beyond its tangible form. I developed a collection of 6 looks and an accompanied app, which together display sentiments that are unique to my experiences. I developed screenprinting techniques that not only speak to the aesthetic, but are also optimized to perform as recognisable information. By Collaborating with developers and animators, I converted the prints into codes through image recognition technology. Viewers will be immersed in an untether 4D world as they interact with the collection using the app.
The project serves as a starting point to explore the possibilities of how the enhanced storytelling experience could benefit the world of fashion.
